Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but not limited to the following
Develop and design, or improve, existing automotive packaging, while meeting functionality and cost requirements.
Develop cost justifications for new/updated packaging requirements through Total Cost of Ownership analysis and calculations.
Communicate directly with packaging suppliers to request samples, test and procure packaging.
Work on process standardizations within the packaging department
Troubleshoot and perform problem analysis related to production, products and materials.
Work with other departments (Production, Planning, Quality, etc) in support of projects and departmental packaging goals and objectives.
Support in returnable management objectives, as needed.
Any other Special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCY:
Minimum 3.00 overall GPA and a 3.5 GPA in their core concentration required
Demonstrated leadership and persuasive skills, strong work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit
Desire to contribute and learn in a team-based environment
The student must be available to work full time, preferably for a 6 month rotation
