    Job Description

    Bosch’s Rotational Development Program is an 18-month, entry-level rotational program. Our Rotational Development Program is designed for Bachelor's and Master's level candidates. Our program puts you on the fast track for professional and leadership opportunities throughout Bosch.

    The Rotational Development Program is composed of three to four rotational assignments custom designed to include work in several different technologies with our world class engineering team. The rotations will be customized for you, in the areas of autonomous, connected, and electrified.

    The program is designed to allow for the experience of varied work teams and environments. You will be partnered with an executive mentor to provide professional coaching and career guidance as well as a peer mentor to help guide you through the program. You will also gain leadership exposure through structured networking events and targeted training.

    At the completion of the 18-month rotational program, this position will be located in Florence, KY.

    • The MFO RDP will be responsible in establishing Value Stream systems and ensuring they are respected. Including operational strategy for all product areas; change over strategies, WIP, Kanban, production planning, lean manufacturing, theory of constraints, etc.
    • Support/Lead System CIP Workshops; developing agenda, OPL’s, follow-up strategies, etc.
    • Support the Manufacturing Operations and Planning.
    • Input into management’s financial decisions, monitor operations and processes within area of responsibility to ensure consistency and achievement of the business plan.
    • Identifies and investigates variances from operating budgets and implements corrective actions.
    • Improving utilization of fixed investment including understanding and experience in implementing Total Productive Maintenance to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
    • Develop labor plan strategies for the rack bar and steering nut areas; variance studies based on volumes, working loop alternations based off absenteeism, etc.
    • Prepare and present operational metrics and any resulting corrective actions.
    • Establish and maintain a safe work environment.
    • Demonstrate discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Contribute to development of RBAS MOE2 vision, mission, HPC and goals. Communicate to and align work force with these principles, putting the vision into action.

    Minimum Requirements (Must Haves)

    • Minimum Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or University; Operational Leadership, Production/Operations Management, Manufacturing Operations, or Industrial Engineering
    • 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Minimum of one completed internship, co-op, or six months full-time relevant work experience related to your field of study
    • Geographically mobile: You must be willing and able to relocate multiple times within the U.S. For example: Kentucky and Plymouth, MI
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States – Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization is unavailable under this program.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS and ABILITIES

    • Experience with assembly/machining processes preferably in automotive or any other high volume business
    • Management and leadership skills
    • Strong presence on the shop floor and high visibility to all team members
    • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Manage multiple problems simultaneously with quick reaction to deviations
    • Analytical, data driven problem solver; experience with Red X methodology or other problem solving tools
    • Experience with Lean production systems and associated tools and methods (Bosch Production System or any other)

    Language Skills:

    • Basic language skills required; German preferred.

    Mathematical Skills:

    • Basic math skills required

    Reasoning Ability:

    • Effective problem solving skills including familiarity with 3x5 why, 8-D and Shainin methodology.

    Computer Skills:

    • Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software. Must be capable of learning other software packages (Ex: SAP, Axalant, and Test Software).

    Leadership Skills:

    • Ability to create a vision to support achievement of the department’s mission. This would include understanding of strengths and weaknesses of the organization along with its challenges, defining the priorities and strategy to fulfill specific objectives of the mission, and motivating/ supporting/ developing/ leading their team to execute the proper plans to fulfill the mission.

    • Excellent communication skills with manufacturing associates, Engineering and Development partners, Plant Leadership, lead plant and direct communication experience with customers.
    • Must have demonstrated a high level of teamwork and team motivation, initiative and success.
    • Demonstrated ability to interact well with people of different cultures and countries.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    Must have the ability to work in an office environment, which could include sitting or standing for the majority of the day. Responsibilities include the need to lift, carry, push, and pull material on an infrequent basis.
