    Job Description

    Bosch Research and Technology in Pittsburgh has an open position for a passionate, strong and experienced researcher intern to work on a variety of applied cryptography, security, privacy, and machine learning related projects. This is a unique applied research opportunity to have a real impact on Bosch’s business. We work in a variety of research projects spanning automotive system security, IT security applications, and security for and with machine learning. Applicants with a history of building and evaluating secure systems are particularly encouraged to apply.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualification:

    • Machine Learning and Deep Learning principles and algorithms
    • (Hardware) Security, in particular physical Side-Channels
    • High-level programming languages, in particular Python in combination with Tensorflow or PyTorch

    Desired Qualification:

    • Enrolled in a Ph.D. program in computer science, electrical engineering, or closely related field
    • Strong foundations in modern deep learning models
    • Strong publication record or evidence of having created or contributed to innovative solutions (e.g., through patents or patent applications)

    Additional Information

    The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $26.50 – $56.50 hourly in Pittsburgh. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
