Engineering Intern – Intelligent Audio Analytics: Hardware, Software, Robotics, and Signal Processing
Job Description
Bosch Research and Technology Center (RTC) in Pittsburgh is seeking a passionate, self-motivated individual with a strong technical R&D background currently pursuing an MS or PhD to work on a variety of projects involving hands-on development of prototype hardware and software and, testing, and deployment of signal processing and machine learning algorithms for a variety of use cases. This is a unique research opportunity to have a direct impact on Bosch’s business.
The Intelligent Audio Analytics group at Bosch works on a variety of research topics including multimodal sensor fusion with machine (deep) learning, machine health monitoring, acoustic imaging and advanced beamforming applications, and acoustic scene recognition. These topics are being investigated alongside dozens of product-focused Bosch groups for deployment around the globe and beyond (SoundSee).
We are seeking outstanding engineers with relevant experiences to bring new ideas and in-depth knowledge of value to Bosch Research. Applicants with a history academic and/or industry engineering experience in electronic hardware and software design, time-series signal processing and machine learning as well as hands-on experience with the practical roll-out of such technologies are encouraged to apply. A successful candidate is expected to play a key role in driving innovative ideas, generating intellectual property, and transferring them to Bosch business units.
Qualifications
IDEAL CANDIDATES FOR THIS POSITION MUST BE PURSUING AN MS OR PHD IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, COMPUTER ENGINEERING, COMPUTER SCIENCE, ROBOTICS, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING OR RELATED AND SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE IN TWO OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:
