    Job Description

    We are looking for a proactive engineer to fill the role as Software Development Engineer for our Radar Software department. You will be responsible for helping build and maintain a simulation environment that is used to enable rapid prototyping of Driver Assistance Functions. You will build a system level simulation environment using IPG CarMaker (both HIL and SIL environments) 

    In this role, you will work in an agile development team to build the simulation environment and create test scenarios for use in system level testing.  As an agile software developer, you are expected to perform the following tasks:

    • Simulation setup , connect the ECU software to the simulation environment
    • Work to improve simulation models to improve simulation accuracy
    • Generate documentation for others to learn and maintain the simulation
    • Work with a team of students to keep prioritize their tasks and create test cases
    • Work with the V&V team to share test cases and simulation concepts
    • Work with Software Function Developers to understand the simulation needs of each project
    • Work closely with Requirements Owners / Project Managers / Test Engineers to develop quality test cases.
    • Analyze and document test data and results.
    • Communicate with other Simulation experts globally to share knowledge and lessons learned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science degree Engineering or Computer Science.
    • 1+ years of software development experience using C++ in automotive or embedded control systems from work or school.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of software development experience in automotive or embedded control systems. (V model and/or Agile.)
    • Outstanding academic software experience will be considered as well.
    • Experience with IPG-CarMaker or equivalent simulation tools is desired.
    • Strong experience with C++ programming language is desired.
    • Must possess a proactive attitude. Must possess interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
    • Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion.
    • Experience with Vector Tooling (CANalyzer, CANape, etc.) is desired.
    • Experience with Driver Assistance or ADAS functions (especially Adaptive Cruise Control, Lateral Control Functions or Autonomous Emergency Braking) is desired.
