  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The intern will help the development team with tuning, verification and validation of the above mentioned functions as well as re-simulation of measurements and labeling. He/she will also support the software development team in general (e.g. through data-analysis / data mining as well as coding, testing and "Hardware-in-the-loop" (HiL) support).

    • Support the software team with development, tuning, verification and validation of "Driver Assistance" functions   (e.g. for adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and rear radar functions)
    • Debug / troubleshoot advanced driver assistance functions using automotive development tools like CANalyzer and CANape
    • Perform basic vehicle tests on the proving ground
    • Analyze and document the test results using established processes
    • Define test plans / test cases and drive tests according to customer and internal requirements
    • Support the team with re-simulation / data mining / labeling / testing
    • Support vehicle integration (e.g. radar alignment, flashing and debugging)
    • Program, test, and integrate gateways in the development vehicle.
    • depending on project needs, interest and software background of applicant: A software development task could   be possible as well   (e.g. project specific algorithm improvement, tool development, data mining or Android based programming)
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum requirements:

    • BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision or related degree

    • good software code exposure/ programming experience in C++ and/or Python

    • (academic) experience with software development / testing

    • good team and communication skills to fit within a committed and very cooperative team

    • able to work independently in an organized and structured fashion

    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university

    • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree with at least one semester completed

    • Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0

    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

    Preferred:

    • experience with Matlab / Simulink and scripting languages (Python, Perl)
    • experience with Vector tooling (e.g. CANape, CANalyzer)
    • knowledge of "Driver Assistance" functions and sensor technologies
    • Basic Android programming experience
