Job Description

As an Infotainment Test Engineer, work in a team of engineers - validating/qualifying software for highly complex In-vehicle infotainment products. You would be responsible for requirement analysis, test case design, implement, maintain test plan, test execution, test reporting of various infotainment modules. Main point of contact to support Customer Onsite & Road testing.

• Perform full CarPlay, Android Auto certification planning, testing, reporting of facet, addendum, location, wired and Wi-Fi performance.
• Jointly testing, issue debugging, setup configuration and coordinating with various internal and external third-party certification labs to certify Bosch infotainment systems.
• Responsible for smart phone integration related OEM, service provider technical contact to conduct regular technical meeting and clarify OEM technical queries, update project current and next status, gather requirement, etc.
• Closely work with various development team, third party certification labs and perform infotainment system, certification protocol testing.
• Perform infotainment hardware and software update, Configuration using CANoe and other related tools, hardware recovery.
• On need basis build and rework test bench, preparation based on infotainment test bench specification and architecture.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Travel required as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or foreign equivalent
• Must have a Michigan driver’s license with good driving record and safe driving skills.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded and automotive testing.
• 2+ years’ experience in projects related to smart phone integration certification protocol testing & process, navigation, radio, in-vehicle testing.
• 3 years of experience in automotive infotainment smartphone integration - CarPlay, android auto, MirrorLink, Baidu Carlife, MFi/iPod certification testing; Apple PPID preparation, Google HUCD and GTM preparation
• 3 years of working experience with various external certification labs and service providers in automotive infotainment certification/type approval areas in Apple-CarPlay, Google-android auto, MirrorLink, USB, Wi-Fi

PREFERRED

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and modern automotive socs including on-chip peripherals
• Experience with standard defect management & test management systems, like HP QC, DOORS, Jira, Bugzilla, RTC
• Certification in international software testing.
• Working knowledge in one or more of the following:
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto user interfaces
  • Bluetooth Profiles - HFP, AVP, A2DP etc.
  • WiFi protocols.
• Good Knowledge Of Apple-CarPlay & Google-AndroidAuto Specifications
• Understanding of Automotive Software Certifications/Type Approvals
• Experience Working With External Companies In Self Certification/Type Approval Processes (Apple-CarPlay & Google-AndroidAuto).
  • Apple CarPlay and iAP certification ATS tool, Beagle USB Analyzer, ATS box.
  • Android Auto certification -> PCTS, QSuite, Sensor Log, Performance & Integration Test Suite
• Experience With Accessory Compliance Verification Testing for Apple Mfi
