    Job Description

    This paid internship is located within the Product Returns and Quality departments responsible for receiving, processing, and analyzing customer product return related quality issues. In addition the Warranty and Quality departments are responsible for product audits, corrective action, root cause analysis, inventory management activities and returned product disposition. The intern in this role will be exposed to the processes and procedures responsible for disposing of returned goods with the intent to optimize and streamline the processes to minimize all of the various touch points. There will also be regular interaction with the Customer Service and the After Sales departments to understand and assist with Total Quality Management (TQI) and Key Performance Indicator initiatives.

    THE PERSON SELECTED FOR THIS INTERNSHIP WILL GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF:

    • Learn the returns material systematic and physical processing value stream and make improvement recommendations (ie; field scrapping, direct return to vendors, freight claims, system automation, etc.).

    • Using TQI analysis to support and reduce customer errors/complaints.

    • Implementation of efficiency tools in warehouse management (ie; scan guns, bar codes, inventory controls, etc.).

    • SAP and Customer Relationship Management database (ISM).

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Currently enrolled at a local accredited college studying Business Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or Data Analytics.

    Junior or senior level, with current GPA of 3.0 or above.

    Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills

    A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

    Additional Information

    Must be authorized to work in the U.S without company Visa sponsorship. ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED. NO RELOCATION AVAILABLE. Working hours flexible within core hours of 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday. Available hours per week are a minimum of 20 with a maximum of 40.
