    Job Description

    The intern / co-op will help develop and benchmark control strategies that use information from connectivity (V2V and V2I) to optimize vehicle and powertrain efficiency. The study will focus on technologies and algorithms relevant to plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). The intern will also be involved in supporting vehicle testing in a controlled test environment.

    The outcomes of this internship will help shape Bosch's advanced development activities to optimize powertrains.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Current graduate student in an engineering discipline
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week/4 month minimum
    • Prior knowledge of automotive systems, especially hybrids
    • Coursework / projects related to controls and simulation. Knowledge of powertrain control & vehicle simulation preferred
    • Familiarity with Matlab / Simulink required
    • Hands-on experience working with experimental hardware preferred
    • Existing experience working in an academic or industrial research environment
    • Ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
