    Job Description

    The quality technician position is responsible for providing support and testing of product to verify the compliance of products to the BOSCH quality standards.

    • Execute product testing to evaluate quality and reliability performance.
    • Summarize and present product audit results in an adequate manner.
    • Participation in manufacturing and design teams to support quality aspects and if necessary demand them.
    • Follow and continually monitor established safety and environmental proce­dures to assure a clean, safe work environment is promoted and maintained.
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that interfaces well with customers, clients, co-workers and management members.
    • Perform other functions as necessary.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    •Minimum five (5) years’ experience applying automotive mechanical and electrical test equipment.

    •Two-year associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent degree/certification.

    •Understanding quality system requirements for ISO 9001 or QS 9000 requirements preferred.

    •Strong working knowledge of process control concepts and applications, including process data collection and capability analysis.

    •Familiar with ASME (ANSI) and UL requirements.

    •Auto service and repair experience preferred.

    •Excellent writing skills, documentation, and record retention for test reports and product traceability.

    •Demonstrated PC Skills (Microsoft Office, Windows), on-line computing skills, including ability to operate spreadsheet and word processing software from a Windows environment and and SAP (P2S/QM) and/or ERP system.

    •Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    •Training and skilled in the use of formal problem solving techniques, including team problem solving preferred.

    •Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.

    •Ability to be flexible and prioritize time effectively.

    •Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
