Job Description

In this newly created role, as our Outbound Traffic Coordinator, you will be responsible for day-to-day organization and transparency to warehouse operations of customer outbound shipments. Through regular collaboration with customer facing planning group, you will identify and clearly communicate plans and need for escalation. You have the ability to thrive under tight deadlines in both self-managed and in a team environment!

You are excited to utilize your excellent written and verbal communication, time management, customer service, and organizational skills. Experience routing orders through vendor portals, emails or phone, and following customer shipping instructions is necessary to be successful in this position.

• Schedule daily outbound shipments for all customers, using customer Transportation Management Systems (TMS) where required
• Organize and document, in detail, outbound shipment plan to support floor operations, summarize the same plan for quick management review, and approve changes to carrier pick-up times
• Escalate delays to appropriate customer contacts or internal customer facing planning group for immediate resolution
• With support of shipping supervisor and manager define standards around shipping window times and carrier pick-ups that support the defined standards
• Track and document carrier on-time pick-up performance
• Consolidate and define customer routings to minimize truck pick-up requirements on warehouse operations
• Other task as defined

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
• Proficiency in MS Office - specifically strong skills in Excel required
• Experience routing shipments in WMS strongly preferred
• Background in scheduling, organizing, and routing of transportation, preferably in an international environment
• Solid & concise communicator with internal and external customers
• Ability to conceptualize visual management tools that support floor operations and summary level communication to management team
• Familiar with use of retail customer TMS systems or high comfort level to quickly learn new systems
• Knowledge in using or interest in learning big data tools (RPA, Tableau, PowerBI)
• Experience in leading without authority
• 25% travel to main distribution center (West Memphis, AR)
