    Job Description

The Bosch Robotics Team is looking for outstanding M.S. or PhD level interns to work on robotics and related projects. As the ideal candidate you have strong technical skills, are willing to tackle challenging problems and work in a highly dynamic team. We are working on making industrial manipulators usable by non-professionals. The robots need to safe, aware of people surrounding them and adaptable to new tasks.

The goal of this internship is to evaluate and develop algorithms for learning complex industrial manipulation tasks that can range from pick-and-place to assembly. Your focus will be on handling the location uncertainties that arise in these industrial manipulation tasks using force measurements and other sensor information. The ideal candidate for this position is an expert in machine learning and robot control, especially in the field of motor skill learning using complex robotic systems. Knowledge of reinforcement learning techniques is a plus.

We expect you to be open minded towards challenging research problems that arise from real world applications, where standard "academic" solutions don't always apply. We offer the possibility and encourage you to publish excellent results of the internship.
