Job Description

The Bosch Research and Technology Center in Sunnyvale, CA is looking for an outstanding student in engineering to help with the development of estimation algorithms for battery management systems for Lithium-ion batteries.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support of the model development for the quantitative dynamic modeling of Li-Ion battery degradation
• Processing of training, validation and test data from experiments and implementation of estimation algorithms in MATLAB
• Development and execution of tests to assess the performance and the robustness of the algorithms
• Analysis and communication of the obtained results and suggestions for improvements on the modeling approach, the estimation algorithms or on the types and content of the experiments

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled PhD student in ME, EE, Math, Stat, CS or related fields with a focus on estimation theory
• Expertise in MATLAB
• Good mathematical background
• Expertise in Lithium-ion batteries preferred
• Expertise in control systems is advantageous but not necessary
• Good communication skills
