Engineering Intern (Starting August 2018/40 hours per week)
Job Description
Resident Engineer assignment onsite an OEM in the Detroit Metro area.
Provide 1st level support for a vehicle test fleet operated in North America, predominantly in the Detroit Metro area.
Trouble shooting and tracking of engine controls related issues.
Flashing of SW updates, vehicle testing and analysis of measurements.
Participate in/coordinate development/certification activities related to emissions, fuel economy and evaporative emissions.
Serve as the main interface between Bosch Germany and the development team in North America.
Occasional travel (domestic) may be necessary.
Planned duration: August 2018 - December 2018
Qualifications
* Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university.
* Pursuing a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
* Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university.
* Minimum 2 years professional work experience.
Basic knowledge of emissions, fuel economy and evaporative emission systems.
Proactive and self-contained.
Able to work in close cooperation with engineering teams in Farmington Hills and Germany to efficiently support trouble shooting and problem solving.
