Job Description

• Develop and test robotic skills for industrial manipulation and automation.
• Establish a solid foundation of AI algorithms for robotics control on real robot hardware as well as simulation.
• Integrate the resulting software into existing Bosch platforms.
• Opportunities for publication as well as open source contributions.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Student in Computer Science, Engineering or other robotic related fields.
• Major in robotics, artificial intelligence or control.
• Experience with ROS or similar larger software frameworks.
• Solid C++ programming skill.

_ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS_

• Hands-on experience with robot platforms, including motion planning, robot control and task planning.
• Strong software development experience, especially in terms of embedded software/cross-compilation.
• Familiarity with open source communities.
• Able to work independently, has strong research and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Additional Information

• MAJOR(S): Computer Science or related fields  
• DEGREE LEVEL: Ph.D. or Master – Must be a current student or recent graduate (less than 1 year)  
• START DATE: Summer 2021
• DURATION: 3 months
