    Job Description

    Bosch Motorsport North America is looking to add to their high performance team with an Customer Application Engineer to foster its growth in developing products specifically designed for Motorsport purposes. This position will be responsible for the following:

    • Customer application engineering of Motorsport products on-site at customer, track, other development sites
    • Interface with development teams to ensure alignment of application activities relevant to development Motorsport products
    • Adherence to applicable software and product development processes to ensure expected high quality
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve both component and system level issues related to software implementation of Motorsport products in end use applications
    • Integration of continuous improvement practices into daily work to improve performance, timing, cost, and quality
    • Opportunity to expand role in additional product areas outside of application engineering, such as project management
    • Domestic and international travel up to 20% (20-30 days) per year (on-site at customer, track, other domestic and international development sites)
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Academic or industry experience in application or calibration
    • 1 year experience in a client interfacing role that includes working directly with customers within the complete customer journey cycle

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, Mechanical (with software or controls emphasis) Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
    • Experience working directly with customers within the complete customer journey cycle
    • Experience working with hybrid and/or battery electric vehicles
    • Experience with programming and scripting including: MATLAB, Simulink, Python; especially in conjunction with data processing and/or for simulation purposes
    • Hands-on automotive experience related to holistic vehicle system design and analysis (e.g. engine repair work/rebuilds, engine management, etc.)
    • Experience in using test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscope, CANalyzer, dSPACE and/or ETAS prototyping systems, etc.)
    • Experience with networks and related technologies (IP, cloud)
    • Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and debug software and electrical implementation issues
    • Industry experience in professional Motorsport, significant FSAE, or equivalent
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • German language skills

    • Working knowledge of electromechanical systems
    • Ability to articulate ideas and make contributions both verbally and in written form
    • Ability to problem-solve to develop solutions on own, breaking down complex problems into distinct parts in order to managing uncertainty and to anticipate interdependencies
    • Willingness to learn and grow outside of area of own responsibility
    • Willingness to share knowledge within the team
    • Focus on continuous improvement
