    Job Description

    Bosch Research and Technology in Pittsburgh HAS AN OPEN POSITION for a passionate, strong and experienced research intern to work on a projects at the intersection of programming languages, compilers and security. This is a unique applied research opportunity to have a real impact on Bosch’s business. We work in a variety of research projects spanning security and privacy in distributed and cloud systems, embedded security and automotive security.  Applicants with a history of looking at low level programming language constructs, compilers, secure systems or interested in seeing products from conception all the way to product delivery are particularly encouraged to apply.

    IDEAL CANDIDATES FOR THIS POSITION SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

    • In-depth knowledge of compilers, interpreters and low level language constructs
    • Knowledge of programming language design
    • Experience working with interfacing multiple languages
    • Background in secure system design or applied cryptography is a plus
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Enrolled in a Ph.D. or Masters program in computer science, electrical engineering or closely related field
    • Fluent in Java programming language
    • Fluent in at least one secondary high-level language (e.g. Python, Rust, C/C++)
    • Strong publication record or evidence of having created or contributed to innovative solutions (e.g., through patents or patent applications)
    • Knowledge of CUDA toolkit or experience with hardware software co-design is a plus.
