Job Description
As a Logistics Network Design Engineer, you will interact with managers, team members, and logistics service providers (LSPs) to analyze domestic transportation networks to optimize Bosch transportation in the North American Region. You will be responsible for conducting analysis, preparing and making presentations to relevant stakeholders, documenting processes, and implementing continuous improvement projects (CIPs).
Main Responsibilities to include:
- Evaluation of air/ocean/overland freight network for optimization opportunities
- Analysis of logistics costs to determine optimal transportation mode and routing
- Quoting of internal transportation costs
- Presenting business cases to stakeholders
- Implementing transportation routes
- Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
- Supporting in the creation & documentation of clear business processes
- Supporting development and improvements in Freight Bosch transportation
- Organize workshops with Bosch plants/business units to promote optimization opportunities.
- Savings metrics record and reports, using Bosch’s Ratio@log system and other means for formal presentation to stakeholders
