Intern/Co-Op Electronics Technician - Testing & Compliance
Job Description
We are an established group of engineers inside Bosch Security Systems, Inc. working on testing products to ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards. Our small team of test engineers are involved in work that is critical to development of world class products for moving cameras. We ensure worldwide safety regulations are met through product safety, environmental and thermal testing. We deliver quality security products in the moving cameras portfolio.
We are looking for an intern who is interested in performing electronic technician tasks essential to new product development and maintenance of our existing products. This involves participation in the Product Realization Process and contributions toward the team’s goals. If you are interested in being a part of a dynamic team environment and working with experienced test engineers and electrical engineers this is the right internship for you.
The intern will learn from senior engineers about developing quality security products and work with cutting edge product development for the security industry. The intern is integrated into an engineering process and learns product safety, environmental and thermal testing including vibration and impact testing.
Qualifications
Able to read and understand technical drawings such as schematics, parts lists and PCB artwork
Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, multi-meters, power meters.
Ability to solder (thru-hole and SMT), strip wires, form cables, assemble housings, and other hands-on activities.
Basic ability with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
REQUIREMENTS
Must currently be enrolled in a relevant degree program such as Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology.
Must be able to commit to a minimum co-op/intern duration of 3 months
Full-time 40-hours per week is preferred
Local applicants strongly preferred
Minimum GPA 3.0 required
Must be able to work in a multi-cultural multi-site environment
