    Job Description

    KETTERING UNIVERSITY STUDENT CO-OP

    Bosch Car Multimedia has created an environment that promotes innovation and collaboration. All associates of the division provide valuable input to the company, and interns are no exception to this. As a Bosch intern, you will gain excellent experience by being fully immersed in the testing process for CM products. With the highly interactive nature of the products developed in the division, testing is a crucial element to the development of these components. The tasks associated with position include:

    • System testing of Car Multimedia infotainment products.

    • Detection of software defects in highly complex in-vehicle infotainment.

    • Exposure to real-world business, as well as in-vehicle infotainment software development.

    • Support customers onsite, and road testing related to navigation, telematics, traffic, and other SXM services.

    • Coordination with global testing team to address and resolve hardware and software complications.

    • Provide missing data and/or information via testing and retesting.

    SKILLS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION:

    • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.

    • Independent problem solving mindset.

    • Proficiency in problem solving, particularly in a technical environment.

    • Accountable for assigned tasks.

    • Highly detailed documentation skills.

    • Valid U.S. driver’s license, clean driving record, and safe driving skills.

    • Ability to follow previously established guidelines to provide high quality results.

    • Ability to have critical verbal communication with our OE customers.

    • Ability to multitask with complex tasks.

    • Basic understanding of software development.

    • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, as technology is always evolving.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. Future sponsorship for work authorization is unavailable.

    • Currently enrolled with a qualified university.

    • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related field.

    • Freshman or Sophomore class standing only.

    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

    • Must be 18 years of age

    • Ability to travel occasionally.

    ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Strong software skills.

    • Understanding of global business development.

    • Passion or interest in innovative technology.

    • Innovative and collaborative mindset.

    • Strong communications skills; written and verbal.

    • Proficiency in Windows based systems and Microsoft Office.
