    Job Description

    This important role contributes to helping grow the organizational UX maturity across all Bosch divisions. Hold UX trainings and Design Thinking workshops and contribute to further development of the UX Academy for Bosch with new training and workshop formats. Coach and guide internal product, solution, service and innovation teams along all phases of the user centered design process. Support in planning UX activities, user research, ideation, interaction concepts, design, prototyping or user testing.

    • Teach classes, develop, and lead our training program
    • Consult internally with our BMC/UXR-NA team across a myriad set of projects
    • Raise UX awareness and build up competencies in UX by training on the job and within academy seminars
    • Support the education of UX and Design Thinking at different Bosch organizational levels
    • Be a thought-leader in our space (needs a bit more elaboration?)
    • Help with annual planning and goal-setting of UX enabling efforts
    • Define a UX Enabling Roadmap
    • Plan and facilitate Design Thinking Workshops and sprints for specific project demands
    • Network with our key stakeholders, sell the benefits of UX to internal business units and communicate the vision of UX within Bosch
    • Strengthen the internal Bosch UX team by becoming an active member of the Bosch UX community
    • Support and coach project teams on user-centered design to enable them in delivering a highly positive user experience and to build success stories for Bosch
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor's Degree in a business or design discipline in combination with user-centered methods, sociology, anthropology, psychology
    • 3+ years of work experience in user design and/or research, e.g. practice user-centered design process, plan and apply user research methodologies like ethnographic interviewing and testing of concepts, developing customer journey maps, service blueprints, design concepts, interaction guidelines based on relevant user insights, and usability evaluation
    • 3+ years of teaching, instructional design, and mentoring experience with relevant academic credentials
    • Experience visualizing ideas/concepts with tools like Adobe CC, Balsamiq, Axure, etc
    • Pleasure and enthusiasm in facilitating workshops and trainings for teams and training classes, tailoring UX and Design Thinking methods and workshop formats and guiding teams with them
    • Ability to teach, mentor, and work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, learning styles, and communication styles

     

    Preferred

    • Master's Degree in a design discipline in combination with user-centered methods, sociology, anthropology, psychology
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Strong sense of Business Analysis
    • Work experience in a successful product-oriented design agency and/or experience working with an industrial client base or comparable experience in a UX team of an established industrial company
    • Proven ability to create new ideas based on relevant user insights and to effectively communicate them to stakeholders
    • Excellent business knowledge paired with outstanding analytical and conceptual skills
    • Work under time constraints on several tasks and projects simultaneously, as well as a marked ability to work in cross-functional teams
    • Well-organized and a high level of motivation to develop ideas from paper to production
    • German or Spanish language proficiency
    • Knowledge and experience using current and established adult learning and educational theory
    • Demonstrated experience in instructional design using current knowledge of emerging technologies
    • Strong verbal and visual communication, written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
