    Job Description

    Right now, we are growing our team that is developing connected sensors and other devices for agricultural applications in California, a.k.a. Smart Agriculture. You will be supporting us in deploying and testing sensors in the field (literally), with a focus on developing and implementing their connectivity to the cloud. But mechanical and electronics adaptions will also feature prominently.

    We expect and support a high level of independence in your work, allowing you to make and be recognized for your own value contribution.

    Our mission is to find, explore and develop new ideas, new applications and new systems that solve real users “pain points” and make a difference in their lives. We strive to not only find the right technical solution, but also to solve a meaningful problem.

    Duration: 6 months minimum

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled Master or PhD student in EE, CS, Physics or related field
    • Hands-on, solid experience in all or some of the following:
      • Design and embedded programming of IoT devices and sensors
      • Design and application of wireless connections, such as Bluetooth, LoRa, and cellular, and interfacing them with cloud services
      • Data analysis and algorithm development in Matlab or embedded
      • App/UI and/or cloud services development
    • Experience and inclination towards meeting new people, researching and forming new ideas into real-world business cases and products.
    • Ability to take direction, but also be self-driven and comfortable communicating ideas and points of view. Prior experience in driving engineering projects with a high level of independence.
