  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Lead manufacturing engineering performance and improvement activities for a final assembly line in the CC ESP product area.
    • Develop, maintain, and apply lean manufacturing principles (BPS) throughout the value stream with regards to equipment design, selection, layouts, and material flow.
    • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards (including process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEA, PQIs, process control documentation, standard work instructions, etc…).
    • Implement/coordinate engineering changes and new manufacturing/product releases (PPAP).
    • Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet Policy Deployment objectives.
    • Plan and execute capital equipment (MAE) acquisition and installation, including preacceptance/final acceptance/safe launch.
    • Lead daily management of area using MES and other analytics/data to meet targets and derive measures to continuously improve performance.
    • Assist with business planning activities and manage/lead implementation of expense budgets.
    • Frequent collaboration with IPN and cross-departmental colleagues to achieve local objectives and benchmark continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BS in Engineering 1-3 years technical experience
    • Experience in high volume/technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry preferred.
    • Experience with lean manufacturing systems and concepts (BPS).
    • Project leadership skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet established targets.
    • Ability to work on cross-functional teams with a high degree of self-initiative.
    • Experience utilizing problem solving techniques to solve complex manufacturing issues (Six Sigma, Shainin, 5 whys).
    • Experience with highly automated equipment technologies- such as robots, automated axis systems, press/torque technology, vision systems, and feeding systems.
    • Prefer working experience with any of the following: MES systems, programming languages, PLC programming, or Tableau/PowerBI .
    • Ability to travel (including internationally) for equipment acceptance/buyoff and IPN activities.
    • Foreign language skills a plus.
