Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION

Work within the Industrial CBI team to fabricate electro-mechanical equipment for test and calibration in worldwide operations.  Support new product development teams as required.  Support manufacturing technical issues as deemed necessary by the group supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, fabricate and document electronic control assemblies and test fixtures.
• Support production equipment and operations.
• Decipher electronic, mechanical schematics and flow diagrams for legacy equipment.
• Work on assignments that may be quite broad in nature, requiring substantial originality and ingenuity.
• Participate in Company continuous improvement initiatives.
• Regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Experience troubleshooting equipment and mechanical assembly tools.
• Experience in the troubleshooting of electro-mechanical production equipment.
• Experience in using software tools such as MS Office.
• CAD and/or LabVIEW experience is a plus.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with the skills to set up and utilize various mechanical and electronic laboratory equipment.
• Ability to wire and put together mechanical assemblies.
• Computer skills in networking, peripherals and data acquisition systems.
• Ability to get along with others in a team environment and to follow all safety procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years experience in a related field.
• Technical Associates degree required or demonstrated experience.
