    Job Description

    • Conduct advanced research and engineering for human activity recognition and motion detection using machine learning with multiple devices and sensors.
    • Apply research results to industry 4.0 use cases with high quality implementation.
    • Integrate the resulting system/software into existing Bosch platforms.
    • Summarize research findings in high-quality paper and patent submissions.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Ph.D students in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
    • Strong background in machine learning, time-series analysis, signal processing, and related fields.
    • Knowledge and practical experience in human activity recognition and gesture recognition.
    • 2+ years’ programming experience with one or more scripting or statistical programming languages (e.g. Python).

    DESIRED

    • Experience in human motion recognition systems.
    • Experience in inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors for motion capture and sensor fusion.
    • Publication record in top venues of machine learning, human computer interaction and signal processing research (ICML, CVPR, ICCV, AAAI, SIGKDD, Ubicomp, and etc.)
    • Familiar with one or more main-stream machine learning platforms (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
    • Strong research and problem solving skills.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
