Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Ph.D students in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- Strong background in machine learning, time-series analysis, signal processing, and related fields.
- Knowledge and practical experience in human activity recognition and gesture recognition.
- 2+ years’ programming experience with one or more scripting or statistical programming languages (e.g. Python).
DESIRED:
- Experience in human motion recognition systems.
- Experience in inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors for motion capture and sensor fusion.
- Publication record in top venues of machine learning, human computer interaction and signal processing research (ICML, CVPR, ICCV, AAAI, SIGKDD, Ubicomp, and etc.)
- Familiar with one or more main-stream machine learning platforms (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Strong research and problem solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
