Job Description
Responsible for further development, implementation, and execution of statistical
process control in manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes through the ability
to identify best practice, design capability tools, facilitate, implement and conduct
charting of controls and processes throughout the facility while maintaining plant wide
goals in safety, quality, delivery, cost, efficency, etc.
Will develop and perform manufacturing PFMEA, assign proper RPN, initiate and
drive activities to correct high risk conditions, implement preventive actions to
protect our Customers.
Will work with the quality department to solve systemic Customer issues, and with the
TEF & MOE departments to reduce internal defect cost (scrap), internal test rejects,
0-km rejects from Customers through use of 8D, A3, PDCA, point and system CIP.
(analyze, stabilize, improve).
Use adequate and solid knowledge in gauging applications for close tolerance
machining on diverse products, have the ability to evaluate products and part
prints in order to conceptualize, select, order, manage and confirm through gauge capability, gauge R&R and MSA requirements. Choose the correct gauging that will
enable effective part measurement throughout the facility.
Must be able and willing to be hands-on while on the shop floor collecting daily
measurements and data points to support above requirements.
Qualifications
Must be actively enrolled at a college/university pursing a degree.
Must be willing and able to work 40 hours a week.
Preferred Majors: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
