  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Responsible for the planning, coordination and management of launching series production (post QGC5) Engineering Changes into the production plant.  Manages and leads local plant team & activities and coordinates with other internal functions and parent company organizations to meet customer requirements and successfully implement Engineering Changes without customer or production disruption.

    • Create the plant project team and assign responsibility for the different functional areas for each new Engineering Change.
    • Lead local plant project teams to ensure that customer key-event dates are met for Engineering Changes and customer MY changes where applicable.
    • Develop plant readiness timelines and activity reports to drive the on-time completion of critical tasks.
    • Organize and lead the Plant Engineering Change Management meetings to coordinate the activity at the plant
    • Provide plant management with monthly reports to update the progress of Engineering Changes
    • Ensuring provision of in-house parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies according to change requirements in-time, in expected quality, in sufficient quantity while keeping cost targets 
    • Being the plant interface & contact to Change Representatives and Project Managers and may be involved with the customer in case of specific topics.
    • Ensuring synchronization of all functions in the value stream of the affected production plant (e.g. Production quality, Manufacturing/Production, TEF, Logistics)
    • Facilitate special build meetings with cross-functional teams (value stream and customer team / PJM) to ensure flawless execution of change implementation on the production floor.
    • Ensuring synchronization with other Change Coordinators serving same OEM platform (e.g.: same product from different plants).
    • Coordination of the successful PPAP approval for intercompany supplied components/modules to other Bosch facilities.
    • Develop volume ramp-up strategies to ensure the successful product launch in all affected supplied customer locations.
    • Ensure close alignment between Customer and Suppliers for change points to ensure proper inventory balancing of components, sub-assemblies and finished goods to reduce obsolescence
    • Coordination of industrialization and ramp-up on time for Engineering Changes, including cross-functional simultaneous engineering during the preliminary planning phases of the change.
    • Preparation and execution of pre-production events (e.g. PV Builds, PTR’s, etc...)
    • Coordination of PPAP submission and contribution to quality assurance AS internal and in all affected supplied customer locations
    • Coordinating the development of the P-FMEA based on System and Design FMEA
    • Follow up lessons learned to ensure that Engineering Change process follows continuous improvement
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Four year college degree 3+ years of previous Program Management/Launch Management experience.
