Functional Safety Engineering Intern (Starting March 2020/3-6 months)
Job Description
As functional safety engineering intern, you are responsible for defining the safety requirements for electric vehicle systems for various vehicle classes. You collaborate with the design team to develop, implement and validate effective solutions. Electric vehicle systems; vehicle control unit, battery management, power electronics, and E/E architecture (high voltage). Our extensive customer portfolio includes a spectrum of major manufacturers from luxury and sports car segments to commercial vehicles including highly advanced technical applications.
Main Duties:
Support safety analyses (HARA, FTA, FMEDA, FMEA, DFA) and assist with developing tools
Support development and tailoring of safety concepts for our customers from design through release for production i.e. for electric powertrains and E/E architectures
Collect, analyze and specify safety requirements on various hardware and software systems/subsystems
Support functional safety verification and validation
Present results and report progress to internal and external customers, stakeholders and auditor
