  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Build and support product validation test systems for mobility products such as:

    ·         Infotainment/multimedia ECUs

    ·         Zone computers

    ·         Zone ECUs

    ·         Body control modules

    ·         Gateway ECU

    ·         Camera systems

    Test systems include both new and legacy test equipment developed in software languages such as LabVIEW, Python, TestStand, VB.NET, C#, VB6.

    Test System Hardware consists of components such as:

    ·         Analog/Digital IO

    ·         Signal Generators (AM/FM, SXM, GNSS, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc.)

    ·         Signal Analyzers

    ·         Communications (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, etc.)

    ·         Simulation of electrical loads

    ·         Video generation/capture

    ·         Audio

    ·         Custom PCB

    ·         Signal conditioning

    ·         Panel wiring

    The candidate will support test equipment described above which is located in the Bosch Plymouth testing lab. Responsibilities of this position include:

    ·         Troubleshooting tester issues, both hardware and software

    ·         Make changes to testers to suit application based off of customer requirements

    ·         Document requirements and changes

    ·         Manage multiple projects and respond quickly to issues as they occur

    ·         Develop software and hardware solutions to accomplish test requirements

    ·         Follow and contribute to global test equipment development best practices

    Other responsibilities for this position include:

    ·         Negotiate test systems requirements with internal Bosch customers, develop new or modified test system specifications, obtain equipment quotations, and manage the building and acceptance of automotive electronic design verification test systems.

    ·         Work with Bosch product engineering teams to debug test equipment and resolve test system concerns such as: proving failure cause, validating measurement accuracy, logging and analyzing CAN traffic, etc.

    ·         Respond to customer requests to add/update functions to testing systems.

    ·         Maintain and prioritize open issues lists and drive toward solutions.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in EE, CE, CS
    • 1+ years of demonstrated work experience with test systems or automation control
    • 1+ years of experience with the development of test software.
    • 1+ years of experience with TestStand, Labview, Microsoft Visual Studio tools (VB6, VB.NET) or similar; strong software debugging and documentation skills.
    • 1+ years of experience independently using electronics and development tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
    • Ability to create, read and maintain schematic drawings
    • Must be able to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Skype, Teams
    • Must be able to prioritize, organize and balance own workload

    Preferred

    • Experience working in automotive, aeronautic, or medical device testing
    • Python experience
    • Certified LabVIEW Developer
    • Master’s degree EE, CE, CS
    • Ability to multitask on a variety of projects
    • Strong customer interface and negotiation skills
    • Strong understanding of complex electrical systems
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
