  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Responsible for all assigned aspects of the environmental, health and safety program for the Waltham, MA location, including but not limited to:

    HSE 

    • Supports the management of environmental, occupational health & safety at all responsible locations
    • Assist in the development, implementation and administration of corporate environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
    • Ensure that federal, state and local safety laws, regulations, codes and rules are observed
    • Drive awareness and culture towards safety excellence in all work areas
    • Monitor activities where accidents could occur, halting any operation or activity that constitutes an imminent hazard to personnel, environment or equipment; Investigate incidents using methodical problem solving techniques to identify root cause
    • Support the creation of, and participate in, local Emergency Response Team / Safety Committee meetings
    • Assist in maintaining HSE training programs to satisfy specific regulatory and Bosch requirements, and to improve overall environmental, safety and health performance within the company
    • Examine plans and specifications for new machinery or processes
    • Participate in internal and external audits of HSE
    • Perform other essential and related duties as may be required

    FACILITIES

    • Supports management of the facilities capital investment budget and capital purchasing process
    • Supports effective maintenance of the facilities expense budget
    • Maintains vendor services for regular items such as cleaning, landscaping, etc.
    • Contract work as needed to support the facility and the business while following proper processes and internal controls.
    • Provides contractor review, onboarding and oversight of work activities
    • Supports oversight and management of building upgrades and permitting at responsible locations.
    • Act as a liaison with governmental and quasi-governmental agencies as it relates to building code enforcement and security.
    • Works closely with facility associates to address concerns and requests
    • Works closely with Purchasing to monitor active PO’s and supports the creation of new PO’s as necessary
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Enrollment in HSE/Facility Management related program, with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
    • Knowledge of Federal/State Safety and Environmental Regulations.
    • Knowledge of Environmental and/or Safety & Health Management Systems
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects with minimum supervision successfully.
    • Good command of Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of Emergency Response Planning.
