  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    As a Co-op student, you will develop, maintain, and execute scripts for increasing work flow efficiency supporting Radar/Video/Ultrasonic based Driver Assistance departments. 

    As a Co-op student, you are responsible for the below:

    • Using Python with creative control to solve real world problems
    • Create/update/maintain tools for increasing efficiency
    • Create test suites to support new feature/tool implementations
    • Analyze, document, and review code implementations
    • Collect, manage and analyze data in real-life scenarios as and when needed
    • Use Jira and Agile Scrum to track progress and pull tasks
    • Support the team with re-simulation / data mining / labeling / testing
    • Support vehicle integration (e.g. flashing, debugging, troubleshooting…)
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0
    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university - University of Cincinnati - pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
    • 1 year software code experience in Python
    • Good debugging skills
    • Exposure to version control software
    • Exposure to software development process
    • Co-op student should have good team and communication skills to fit within a committed and very cooperative team
    • Student should also be able to work independently in an organized and structured fashion

    PREFERRED:

    • 6 months experience Django or Flask web frameworks
    • 6 months experience with SQL
    • Familiarity with Bash and/or Cmdline commands
    • 1 year experience with Git/version control software

    BONUS:

    • Exposure to Vector tooling (e.g. CANape, CANalyzer)
    • Knowledge of "Driver Assistance" functions and sensor technologies
