  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Design, develop, validate, and implement methods and tools that improve the operational flexibility and execution of a lean production system (Bosch Production System) using appropriate logistics concepts and BPS principles. Modify and improve existing logistics systems. Lead material team in the development and implementation of methods for material ordering, sales order management and supply chain interfaces.

    ·        Acts as a key change agent/ lean subject matter expert for cross-functional teams to insure plant/departmental goals and objectives are achieved.

    ·        Implements standardized production control and planning processes.

    ·        Leads the development of information flow and MRP parameter solutions.

    ·        Drives process automation in materials management and line scheduling processes.

    ·        Demonstrates experience with lean principles.

    ·        Create work instructions and standard work for material management and production control.

    ·        Facilitates CIP in sales order management process.

    ·        Assists with managing various Plan for Every Part worksheets (PFEPs)

    ·        Demonstrates statistical / analytical capabilities

    ·        Enables digitalization of manual processes in indirect (information flow) logistics area.

    ·        New systems and technologies: Liaison between logistics group and BPS/TEF/MFO/IT/LOG.

    ·        Provides logistics support on cross-functional teams.

    ·        Evaluates and recommends cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

    ·        Support new product launches.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ·        BS degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management or related fields. Master’s preferred.

    ·        Prior 5+ years Materials Management/Production Control experience a must

    ·        Desire previous experience with self -managed teams

    ·        Must possess:

    Ø  A working knowledge of lean logistics, SAP modules MM & PP, and modern manufacturing concepts.

    Ø  Effective interpersonal skills

    ·        Must demonstrate the ability to:

    Ø  Lead groups and delegate tasks

    Ø  Follow-up effectively to insure successful implementation

    ·        Must have demonstrated a high level of teamwork, initiative, and involvement in previous work assignments

    ·        Must be flexible (welcome and adaptable to change), including working hours

    ·        Demonstrate discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures
