    Job Description

    Make your mark as a Project Planner at the Global Engineering Department of Boskalis Offshore Energy for the projects Revolution and Sunrise Wind. As Project Planner your impact on the eventual success of a project can be extensive: Imagine the value that a correct schedule and thorough analysis of its status brings in a critical and complex project! Your goal is to minimize surprises concerning timeframes. Next to that your overview of the project activities, assets, and support equipment involved, enables you to arrange the highest level of efficiency. Making sure there is no idle time or ensuring a reduction of 5 days of using equipment, makes a huge difference in the numbers!

    In this role you are contributing to the development of the Offshore Wind industry at the east coast of the USA. Projects already awarded are Revolution and Sunrise Wind for Orsted. Boskalis is already executing Southfork Wind.

    Your responsibilities as Project Planner

    • Develop, and manage the overall multidisciplinary scheduling during the lifecycle of the project covering, preparations, engineering, procurement, fabrication, transports, and installations works. All-in line with both Boskalis and Client requirements.
    • You use your overview of the entire contract schedule, and everything involved, to think a few steps ahead and dry run scenarios: work on 'what if scenario’s’? You pro-actively share and discuss any solid advice which you can conclude from these insights, with the relevant stakeholders.
    • Providing the Engineering and Procurement managers with manpower histograms.
    • Aware of Risk management and schedule integration.
    • You understand planning is all about communication and use all that is in your power to get the message across.
    • You keep a log to ensure that others will immediately understand the changes and assumptions made to develop the schedule.

    Your qualities
    You can make your mark as Project Planner if you have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area (logistics, maritime, civil engineering etc).
    • +/- 10 years of experience with project planning in Oil & Gas or Offshore Energy, preferably in the renewable industry.
    • Strong skills and experience in Oracle Primavera P6, Time-distance-diagrams, and Excel, and having experience with Power-Bi is preferred.
    • Experience with EPCI contract, Contract planning, Risk Management and probabilistic scheduling is preferred.
    • Solid organizational, analytical, communication, and presentation skills together with a hands on mentality.
    • No trouble with making tough decisions under pressure.
    • A excellent command of written and spoken English.

    Extra information

    • Your team: You will be part of the Project Control team of Offshore Energy’s Global Engineering department in Papendrecht (The Netherlands). This team consists of 14 Junior to Senior Planners to share professional way of working, best practices and lessons learned with. Your direct reporting line will be in the project organization, mostly based in Providence USA. In the Project team, you will work most closely together with Project Managers, Lead Project Engineers and a Planner in Papendrecht.
    • Where you will work: Providence (RI). For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
    • Full/part-time job: The position of Planner is a full-time (40 hours a week) job, 32 or 36 hours is open for discussion.
