    Job Description

    We are seeking a result-driven retail Sales and Design Associate to be responsible for sales and design job duties, from generating leads, to creating floor plans and design presentations, to closing sales. Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers in our furniture showroom to determine needs, answer questions about our products and recommend right solutions. You should be able to promptly resolve customer objections and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales and Design Associate, you should stay up-to-date with product features and possess strong communication and follow thru skills. Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

    • Welcome customers to the showroom and answer queries

    • Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on products and services

    • Work with clients to design ascetically pleasing spaces through consultations, floor plans, instore and at home design presentations

    • Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

    • “Go the extra mile” to drive sales while adhering to guidelines for commission selling

    • Remain knowledgeable on products and available special order options

    • Process POS (point of sale) purchases and customer deposits

    • Handle returns of merchandise

    • Work as a team with co-workers to ensure proper customer service

    • Build productive trust relationships with customers

    • Comply with inventory control procedures

    SKILLS

    • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate, Sales representative or similar role
    • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
    • Proficient in computer skills and ability to learn new programs
    • Proficiency in English
    • Basic Math skills
    • Strong design and space planning skills
    • Track record of over-achieving sales quota
    • Hands-on experience with POS transactions
    • Familiarity with inventory procedures
    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
    • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
    • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment and follow up with clients in a timely manner
    • Availability to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays and some evenings
    • HS Diploma, preferred College - Business, Interiors Design, Fashion or related field
