    Based at Covia’s Independence, Ohio corporate headquarters location, this position reports to the Director - Talent Development & Learning, and closely partners with the Covia Human Resources Team, organizational leaders, functional Subject Matter Experts and various external stakeholders. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and deploy functional training solutions, and to coordinate the key Talent Development support systems and communication processes that support all Talent Development & Learning activities.

     

    THE SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

     

    TALENT DEVELOPMENT & LEARNING PROCESS AND SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION

    • Administration of the day-to-day Learning Management System (LMS) functions, such as: asset cataloging and management, reporting and metrics, and learning path development
    • Coordination of all logistics for Covia core training programs including: airline, hotel, travel, and training facility reservations, group events, meals, and participant materials
    • Coordination of core training program virtual follow-up sessions and other related engagement opportunities
    • Management of target audience analysis, participant enrollment and all pre-and post-training participant communications

     

    COVIA ON-BOARDING AND ORIENTATION PROGRAMS

    • Development and implementation of standardized approaches to new employee orientation and functional on-boarding processes, and identification of deployment strategies that deliver consistency and timeliness to those processes

     

    TALENT DEVELOPMENT & LEARNING BRANDING AND COMMUNICATION

    • Assist with the development of Talent Development & Learning branding, and ensure extension of the branding throughout all TDL resources
    • Primary administration of the Talent Development & Learning shared email account
    • Internal Marketing and communication of Talent Development & Learning resources through blended mediums

     

    FUNCTIONAL LEARNING INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN

    • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to investigate training needs through research, analysis, surveys, focus groups, and interviews
    • Develop blended learning solutions (Instructor-Led, e-Learning, Virtual), using Instructional Design techniques and adult learning principles
    • Produce training materials (slide decks, participant and facilitator guidebooks, etc.) to support training solutions
    • Periodic facilitation of workshop openings and training modules, as needed

     

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

    • Partner with Covia Accounts Payable to ensure timely processing of Talent Development & Learning vendor invoices
    • Documentation of functional learning best practices and work processes
    • Conduct periodic reviews of learning technology, tools and best practices
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for key vendor relationships
    • Other duties as assigned by Director – Talent Development & Learning

    THE SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION

    REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business management, communications, education, human resources, or related field

     

    KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    REQUIRED:

    • Demonstrated creative thinking and decision making skills
    • Advanced Microsoft Windows and Office suite proficiency
    • Strong project management skills
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others and work under minimal supervision
    • Detail orientation, with good follow-up practices and customer focus
    • Capability to multi-task, highly-organized and able to meet deadlines consistently
    • Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to a wide variety of tasks and functions
    • Strict adherence to confidentiality and high ethical standards
    • Ability to exercise poise, tactfulness, diplomacy and good interpersonal skills in order to handle sensitive and confidential situations

    PREFERRED:

    • Experience giving presentations to audiences of varying sizes
    • Demonstrated ability to design and execute course curricula
    • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual (Latin American Spanish)
    • Demonstrated proficiency with design and media development tools (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and audio / video editing tools)
    • Entry-level Instructional Design and adult learning exposure

  • Qualifications
    • Provides operational data support for internal and external customers.
    • Writes SQL queries to analyze data and generate, monitor, and maintain informational reports.
    • Supports meter level monitoring; provides meter data analysis and troubleshoots issues on a daily basis.
    • Monitors performance metrics (stales, read performance, billing, etc.) for issues and troubleshoots as necessary. Is familiar with and supports at least 1 Company product (1-way, 2-way RF, DHES, etc.).
    • Works closely with the Radio Frequency (RF) Technicians to maintain high network performance and meets customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Assists with inventory management and database updates for equipment changes (meters, modules, collectors, concentrators).
    • Proactively analyzes meter and reads data to identify issues and resolve, minimizing customer impact. Develop and provide reports as necessary per customer requirements.
    • Generates reports and exception handling for customer billing.
    • Escalates issues as necessary to other Data Analysts and the Service Desk.
    • Assists in data discrepancy trouble shooting and resolution.
    • Makes recommendations for standard metrics, reporting, and service improvement.
    • Communicates issues and potential resolutions to management as necessary.
    • Minimal support required after business hours. Works independently 50% of the time.
    • Maintain individual professional development plan with associated goals
