  • Responsibilities

    The Project Accountant / Specialist role will be responsible for all project related billing, reconciliations, and reporting. The Project Accountant / Specialist will also act as a supporting role in assisting the Plant Controller(s) with monthly project profitability review, accounts receivable reporting, and any other ad hoc requests that may arise.

    • This position will focus on reporting and tracking of specific contractual terms and conditions of a major OSI customer.
    • Collect data and conduct analysis to develop costing profiles for new products in order to determine production viability and profitability. Maintain and update customer contract with key dates and milestones, pricing, and PPV files as required.
    • Prepare detailed reporting for both Customer and Senior Management.
    • This position will interact with multiple manufacturing facilities and require exceptional written and communication skills.
    • Responsible for reporting accuracy on inventory, billing, plant efficiency analysis, PPV analysis preliminary focusing on one major customer.
    • Prepare daily and weekly production reports to include: profit and loss statements, labor hour analysis, yields and cost savings progress against plan.
    • Work closely with the customer service and accounts payable team to track and report activities for outside storage, freight, A/R, others as required.
    • Maintain inventory tracking and integrity in SAP.
    • Maintain and develop SAP costing for customer products.
    • Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly closing. Prepare all standard month-end journal entries and, review all costing runs, and work closely with corporate SAP team to validate system data.
    • Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and prepare ongoing monthly and year-to-date budget analysis for management review, analysis and decision making
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    • Three or more years of experience in a financial analysis/manufacturing environment.
    • Prior experience working with an enterprise resource program
    • SAP Experience a plus
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
    • Critical thinker with an excellent attention to detail
    • Highly organized with an ability to multitask and manage various deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills
    • Ability to work independently, as well as closely with a team
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
    • Work is generally performed within a business environment at a plant location, with standard office equipment available.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer.
