JOB OVERVIEW: Atlas Van Lines is seeking a Chief Security Officer to join our Information Technology team! The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that Atlas World Group’s security, privacy, and business resiliency functions provide a competitive advantage in the market. This position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating security, privacy, and business resiliency efforts across all of Atlas World Group and its subsidiary companies.
The Chief Security Officer will also be responsible for creating policies, processes and programs that minimize the overall risk to the organization while allowing the organization to prosper in the markets it chooses to enter. This position will manage security team members and a network of vendors who will encompass the resources needed to execute on the vision developed by this position.
In addition, this position will be responsible for these essential duties and responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing and monitoring a strategic, comprehensive enterprise security, privacy and risk management program
- Working directly with the all AWG business units to facilitate risk assessment, ensuring effective risk management processes, and ensuring the existence and regular testing of incident response and business resiliency plans
- Creating education and awareness programs and advising operating units at all levels on security issues, best practices, and vulnerabilities
- Leading efforts to execute third party risk assessments, tracking remediation progress, and leading efforts to complete security assessments from customers and partners
- Building and leading security team providing development and direction driving continuous improvement
- Staying abreast of latest laws and requirements for Atlas World Group in Security, Privacy and Business Resiliency
- Providing regular updates to the Senior Management and Board of Directors on the state of Atlas World Group Security, Privacy and Business Resiliency programs
- Providing leadership for any breach response and notification actions
EMPLOYMENT TYPE & HOURS: This full-time position will consist of 40 hours per week. Hours fall between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., M-F.

- Proven track record in developing and managing Information Security, Privacy and Business Resiliency programs for an organization
- Proven leadership and business development abilities
- Ability to make effective presentations to groups of management and the Board of Directors
