    Health Benefits is looking for an RN Quality Management Specialist. The RN Quality Management Specialist is responsible for the coordination and implementation of quality improvement activities and initiatives for the Healthcare Management Department.

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements
    • Effectively prioritizes role functions to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction for Quality Improvement activities
    • Coordinates and manages the Quality Improvement Committee meeting process
    • Develops and maintains projects and audits (focused and individual) that are relevant, accurate and measurable
    • Collects, analyzes, and reports on key metrics inclusive to identifying trends, barriers, conducting root cause analysis and providing objective recommendations
    • Monitors customer satisfaction through compliant tracking process ensuring prompt review and timely resolution
    • Actively participates in department initiatives
    • Promotes quality performance and improvement and educates team
    • Interacts with sub-contracted independent review vendors to provide quality oversight of delegated functions
    • Accurately documents all quality improvement activities
    • Provides expertise in support of the physician level review process
    • Assists with the orientation of new team members
    • Promptly reviews, completes, and acknowledges required educational activities
    • Prioritizes daily work assignments to meet goals and deadlines
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:  

    • Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing preferred
    • Active RN License and 3+ years of clinical care experience
    • Quality Management experience in a managed care setting preferred
    • Excellent communication, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner, reprioritizing workload to meet customer needs
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service driven environment
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Ability to evaluate problems, develop alternative solutions and identify trends and patterns
    • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, employers, physicians, families in crisis, community agencies and all levels of leadership

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    Bachelors degree required and MPH or equivalent degree strongly preferred.

    Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skill required

    Strong time management skills and being detail-oriented required

    1-3 years of clinical, observational, or public health research required

    Experience with IRB preferred

    Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required
