  • Responsibilities

    HealthFitness has a great opportunity for an on-call (# of hrs based on demand) MASSAGE THERAPIST at our client sites located in St. Mary’s County, MD- specifically in Leonardtown and Lexington Park, MD. In this position, you will administer chair massage in a variety of corporate settings such as health fairs, benefit fairs or open enrollment sessions or as part of a larger workplace wellness program.  You must provide your own massage chair.

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

        

    • Provides seated chair massage at client sites in a corporate setting
    • Therapist administers HealthFitness Release of Liability and Consent form, including distribution to participants, collection of signatures, and return of waivers to HealthFitness supervisor.
    • Therapist administers participant satisfaction surveys 1-2 times per year to include making copies of survey, distribution, collection and submission to HealthFitness supervisor.
    • Therapist reports time worked and attendance via Workday system.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

     

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

     

    • Massage Therapy License for the state of Maryland required.
    • CPR/AED and first aid certifications from either American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. 
    • 1+ years of massage therapy experience required.
    • Good communication skills; listening and verbal.

  • Qualifications

    BA/BS in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or equivalent. Familiarity and competence with SEM, optical microscope, universal testing machine, metallographic specimen preparation, weighing technique, measuring instruments, hand and power tools including drill press and lathe. Other skills including but not limited to writing operating instructions, laboratory procedures, would be appreciated.
