    Our Digital and Strategy team is looking for an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR DATA & ANALYTICS.  In this newly created position you will report to the Chief Digital and Strategy Officer.  You will execute the creation of a Center of Excellence for enterprise Data and Analytics. This will involve securing the talent needed, building out the tooling necessary and building out the analytics capability. 

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Architect, hire, and develop/ mentor the team of data engineers, data scientists, and analytics translators.
    • Establish and manage the portfolio of analytics use cases with input from the business.
    • Collaborate with the data team as a primary stakeholder on enterprise data needs, data architecture, access, MDM, etc.
    • Architect and build the tooling necessary to deliver and maintain industrial grade analytics solutions.
    • Problem solve and oversee execution and delivery of data engineering, data science, and modeling activities.
    • Liaise with legal, risk, privacy, and cybersecurity to ensure a solid approach to risk management for analytics.
    • Drive adoption of analytics insights within the frontline (marketing, sales, product, claims, operations, etc.) to ensure value is realized.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree required in data, mathematics, or statistics-related field required; Master’s Degree in data, mathematics or statistics-related field preferred.
    • 7+ years in a data and analytics strategy role and also possess hands-on “doer” analytical role experience focused on optimization across a wide variety of businesses (healthcare insurance, life insurance, wellness, claims administration) and functions (marketing, sales, underwriting, claims, operations, servicing) required.
    • Led a data and analytics program across platforms including CRM, administration, mobile, search, social, email, and other customer and B2B engagement properties required.
    • Demonstrated experience in performing quantitative analyses on complex data sets related to marketing, sales, downstream clients, consumer experience (e.g., A/B testing, and business-oriented statistical concepts) required.
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and research skills required.
    • A deep understanding about the inner workings of data technologies and tools required.
    • Proven capabilities to manage a complex portfolio of initiatives in various stages of maturity required.
    • Experience building metrics to track performance across various analytics models and digital properties, including measuring and driving the long-term health of a business required.
    • Experience in establishing and improving enterprise data governance processes and structures, including privacy, Master Data Management, access and decision rights management, and data integrity standards required.
    • Experience working with third-party vendors to procure, ingest, and use external data required.
    • Experience in fostering cross-functional collaboration required.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills at all levels in the organization, across the lifecycle including shaping the highest-priority analytics use cases through adoption required.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment beneficial but not required.
    • Strong knowledge and ability to use computers with a Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and at least a basic knowledge in use of databases such as Access based databases, SAP, or other databases
    • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
    • B.S. in Food Science or related field preferred
    • 5+ years of food safety/food manufacturing experience in lieu of education is a plus
