HealthFitness is seeking a full-time, benefits eligible, Movement Specialist to work on-site for our client in Thousand Oaks, CA. In this position, you will provide workstation evaluations for staff working remote and onsite in their respective work environments. You will teach and demonstrate proper ergonomic principals related to the setup of the workstation and/or behaviors of the employee. You will instruct employees in prevention of repetitive stress injuries, document findings, and provide follow-up sessions as necessary to increase participant’s awareness of work habits and task management. You will implement and deliver prevention programs and ergonomic education. You will also participate in related teams and committees as needed.

    Schedule: Monday-Friday, no weekends!

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Workstation Evaluations for both symptomatic and asymptomatic staff.
    • Providing and following through on all action plan recommendations and behavioral recommendations.
    • Participation Tracking and Outcomes Reporting.
    • Staff Education and Coaching to alleviate discomfort associated with workstation use.
    • Working knowledge of applied physical activity training.
    • Appropriate Documentation & Management of Information.
    • Development and delivery of prevention education and other relevant education programs as requested.
    • Participation of teams and committees as required.
    • Participation in training sessions.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

    What you bring with you:

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree or Associates in Occupational Health, Industrial Engineering, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or other degree in the health or safety discipline field.
    • CPR/AED and first aid certification from either American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
    • Solid understanding of office ergonomic foundation approaches to service.
    • Ability to successfully prioritize tasks.
    • Basic skills in Microsoft office.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet customer needs and shape behaviors through coaching on ergonomics related behaviors.
    • This client site requires full COVID-19 vaccination when on-site as an essential job function.     Preferred:

    • 1+ years applied ergonomics experience.
    • 1-2 year of recent experience in conducting and writing reports for office and/or industrial ergonomic evaluations/consultation and exercise instruction to clients.
    • Ergonomics certification.
    • Health Coaching experience beneficial.

    Compensation: $24.00- $30.00 per hour, pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
