    SUMMARY:  Serving in a consultative capacity, through critical and forward thinking, this position is responsible for the strategic assessment & review, subsequent development of and successful & concurrent execution of various types and sizes of business initiatives under minimal supervision. This involves all facets of leadership and delivery, including but not limited to: planning, risk and change management, relationship management, cross-functional team leadership and successful implementation. Initiatives are primarily business focused, and may have their genesis through business process excellence initiatives, but may also include IT components. This position will be closely tied to our business process improvement efforts and should constantly be looking for ways to improve, monitor & discover business issues and improve value to our customers. Project Management methodology will generally be followed but will vary based on the size and nature of the initiative and needs of the organization.

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

    • To drive marketplace differentiation, specific to assessment and discovery efforts, conduct necessary research to identify pertinent industry trends and detail marketplace leaders and their service offerings in an effort to recommend and drive to enterprise best practices in people, process and/or technology.
    • Lead all aspects of multiple, concurrent initiatives in partnership and collaboration with Business Leads.
    • Partner with the Business Leads, team members and functional Subject Matter Experts to identify and document business needs & objectives, confirm deliverables, identify, analyze, translate & simplify business requirements, obtain resources, identify Tier 1/IT requests and determine tasks.
    • Partner with team members and functional Subject Matter Experts to establish and enhance processes
      • To develop business case and requirement definitions.
      • To develop and execute test plans.
    • Create and manage plans for each initiative using the standard Operations template, modifying as needed.
    • Identify and manage initiative dependencies and critical path.
    • Assess, monitor and mitigate/resolve risks as they are encountered, escalating issues appropriately.
    • Facilitate initiative team meetings as needed and champion business team to ensure continuous improvement efforts.
    • Conduct post-implementation analysis and create recommendations based on lessons learned.
    • Engage team members by establishing clear performance expectations, providing constructive feedback and recognition, and motivating team members to successful implementation.
    • Act as a liaison between business & technical resources to ensure optimal solutions are developed and performance is effective and efficient for our customers.
    • Escalate performance concerns or gaps quickly to avoid risks.
    • Develop and implement communication plans to actively engage and inform all team members and stakeholders of current status, progress, any roadblocks and actionable next steps.
    • Leverage managed change principles and processes including, defining current and future state, identifying impact across audiences, and sponsorship to influence overall effectiveness
    • Provide Weekly Status Report on initiatives to Executive Director – Process Improvement, Operations leadership and/or Portfolio Manager as appropriate.
    • Escalate and communicate issues promptly and effectively.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or 6-8 years of related experience in a strategic consulting role and/or business process improvement
    • Solid project management background with proven ability to lead multiple, highly visible projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
    • Experience successfully planning and managing strategic department/division-based engagements or initiatives
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills
    • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence, with ability to teach others.
    • Proven written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical staff, and all levels of management
    • Self-directed individual who works well with minimal supervision
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate people and teams cross functionally to resolve complex issues within designated time frames.
    • Flexible; open to continued process improvement
    • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio
    • Experience in Microsoft Project Server, SharePoint or similar project management tool.

    • Prior management experience
    • Change management and business process reengineering experience/exposure

     

     

    Pay Range:  $80,000 - 90,000 $ annually (Est.) + Bonus.  Candidate skillset, work experience, education and geographic location will be taken into consideration when determining salary offered.
