In early 2000, the scope of our India program expanded with a major immunization initiative for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Today, PATH’s India projects focus on TB, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis-C, immunization, injection safety, maternal health, and more.

     

    PATH is currently recruiting for a TEAM LEAD under the project Sashakt, to provide support in implementing HIV prevention, case finding and linkages to treatment in the priority states and priority districts of Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland. The position will support the seamless continuation of interventions through monitoring and mentoring the team in the implementation of the activities, track deliverables, support and coordinate efforts, and manage critical risks.

      

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Provide program support and technical guidance in scaling up current prevention interventions (lower threshold harm reduction programs-SDNS, satellite OST, FIDU package of services and others) and implementing newer prevention activities (PrEP, young PWID DIC, newer SDNS approaches, strategies for expanding coverage of MSM, TG and FSW population, virtual platforms border interventions and others) as planned under the Project Sashakt
    • Provide technical guidance in scaling up current interventions (index testing, SNM) and implementing newer approaches of HIV case finding approaches (integrated index/SNM, blended index/SNM, adolescent PWID HIV testing, self-testing, cross border interventions) with fidelity among adult populations as planned in the Project Sashakt
    • Provide program support and technical guidance in implementation of linkages to treatment interventions and ensuring completion of activities including targets as per the approved micro plans
    • Coordinate with the teams in establishing baselines (output and outcome) at site and district levels for DATIM (Data for Accountability, Transparency and Impact Monitoring)and program indicators in prevention, case finding and linkages.
    • Coordinate with the treatment team to ensure a seamless continuum of prevention to treatment
    • Support the states in the implementation of integrated action plans and support in the implementation of planning and monitoring systems such as micro-plans, site level granular analysis and routine review meetings to achieve targets of prevention, HIV case finding and linkages to treatment.
    • Support implementation of quality assurance systems including adherence to ethical testing guidelines/minimum requirements
    • Provide program support and technical guidance in the implementation of community monitoring system (community score card)
    • Develop action plans and support the implementation of strengthening the prevention to care and treatment continuum response among key populations
    • Coordinate with NACO and implement policies and guidelines under “TI revamped strategy”; and provide technical assistance to NACO and SACS on roll out of revamped TI strategies.
    • Support in designing and demonstrating innovative strategies to improve access to HIV prevention services in the context of COVID-19
    • Leverage partnerships with key stakeholders at national, regional, state and district/site level; including PEPFAR partners, GFATM implementers and CSO/CBOs for the implementation of Project Sashakt activities.
    • Participate in the SACS level review mechanism and provide strategic inputs for implementation of project Sashakt and for replication.
    • Submit periodic reports on HIV prevention activities (monthly/quarterly performance) to NACO, CDC and ITECH.

     

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • Master’s degree in public health, social sciences, or related field with at least 8-10 years of technical experience preferably in National HIV prevention, care, and treatment programme with KPs (female sex workers, men who have sex with men, people who inject drugs and transgender individuals).
    • S/he will have at least 10 years of demonstrated excellence in technical assistance and leadership position.
    • S/he will have prior experience of providing technical assistance to governments at national and/or state level.
    • Experience in projects that involve liaising with Government institutions and private sector players/corporates/healthcare providers/NGOs.
    • Experience in analytical, communication, presentation and report writing skills.
    • Proven ability to multi-task and collaborate work effectively with senior staff, colleagues, donors, partner organizations, stakeholders, local institutions, and others at all levels.
    • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines, and intense pressure to perform.
    • Excellent skills in facilitation, team building and coordination.
    • Experience in public speaking and professional presentations.
    • Field oriented and a comfortable with a team approach to programming.
    • Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • At least two years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
    • Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices, hazard analysis and critical control points, lean manufacturing and other food safety, quality and manufacturing principles.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to work with employees at all levels and to motivate direct reports; specifically mentoring and coaching individuals and identifying short- and long-term development needs and providing appropriate support.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time using effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.
    • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications; specifically using Word to create and modify documents, Excel to record data and calculate results, and Outlook to communicate internally and externally
    • Four year college degree in business management, production operations management, agricultural science, food science or equivalent communication and analytical ability acquired through work experience.
    • Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
