PART-TIME SWIM INSTRUCTOR - LIBERTYVILLE, IL

LOOKING TO MAKE SOME EXTRA MONEY? HealthFitness is looking for SWIM INSTRUCTORS to join the Aquatics Team! In this position, you will provide effective and safe swim instruction to adults and children participating in private or small group lessons. You will design individualized programs to meet the participant's interests, abilities, and goals_._

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days.
• Competitive swimming background or competitive swim coach experience.
• Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic.
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely.
• Exhibit patience and are friendly and outgoing.
• Are highly organized, energetic, and can multi-task.
• Flu vaccination required.

Required Skills Required Experience

• A bachelors or master’s degree in life sciences, chemistry, or related field, is required
• The position is funded from NIH grants and a minimum dedication of 2 years is required
• For highly qualified applicants, looking for more permanent laboratory technician positions, there is potential for growth to be promoted to a Lab Manager position or train to become a Senior Electron Microscopy Technician if desired
• Social skills and computer proficiency a must
• Experience with histological procedures, microscopy, and digital image processing desired
• Salary is dependent on the level of experience
