    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The P&C Partner is a strategic partner to teams and leaders supporting Corporate teams in Irvington and the Warehouse team in Secaucus, NJ. The role nurtures leadership development across the organization. This role serves as a culture and values ambassador.

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strategic People Partner for assigned teams • Strategic advisor, coach and people expert for all assigned teams • Lead structured touch-bases with unit leaders focusing on various aspects of people, culture & values • Support individuals, teams and leaders in reaching business goals and plans • Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, restructures, succession planning and growth and talent development

    ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, LEADERSHIP AND LEARNING • Create and execute change management projects on the team, area and organizational level • Design and execute appropriate learning opportunities for leaders • Facilitate meetings, workshops and trainings to support team, area and organizational development • Drive strategy for training opportunities (DE&I, leader development, individual growth, etc.)

    CULTURE AND VALUES AMBASSADOR • Embody values and behaviors • Consider culture, values, and DE&I impacts in all aspects of organization life • Design programs that strengthen culture values

    EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND WORKPLACE BEST PRACTICE • Welcome and integrate new hires through New Hire Orientation programs • Support career pathing work • Conduct exit and stay interviews • Conduct focus groups on relevant People & Culture topics to support the “proactive” side of employee relations • Supports performance management; coaching & counseling; Need For Performance Improvement (NFPI’s) • Hands-on support for leaders in drafting onboarding plans and performance feedback • Lead HR Investigations

    DATA & OTHER • Gather, track and analyze key organizational data, trends including Diversity & Inclusion metrics, turnover, stay and exit interview themes, etc. to feed strategic projects • Conduct research on future of work, workplace best practices, trends, and other topics as needed to support special projects. • Liaise with Benefits, Compensation, Operations and Talent Acquisition on application of company policies / processes as needed • Lead, support and participate in key P&C team projects and initiatives (Health & Safety, Recognition Programs etc.) • Participate in P&C team projects as needed

    PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS AS REQUIRED.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • 5 years of HR experience managing full scope of services through the employee lifecycle
    • Fashion retail background or equivalent and strong business acumen
    • Background in organizational development, leadership and learning and change management is a plus
    • Spanish is a plus
    • Knowledge in benefits and leaves
    • Business partner experience a plus
    • Background in organizational development, leadership and learning a plus
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong communication skills; verbal and written
    • Able to maintain sensitive and confidential information
    • Excellent time management, organizational, administrative and coordination skills
    • Microsoft office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

    The hiring salary range for this role is $110- $125k/yr. dependent upon experience and qualifications.  In addition, we offer competitive benefits including a generous clothing allowance and a wellness reimbursement program.

  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

     

    • Four year college degree in business management, production operations management, agricultural science, food science or equivalent communication and analytical ability acquired through work experience 
    • At least two years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment. 
    • Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices, hazard analysis and critical control points, lean manufacturing and other food safety, quality and manufacturing principles.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees at all levels of the organization. 
    • Ability to work with employees at all levels and to motivate direct reports; specifically mentoring and coaching individuals and identifying short- and long-term development needs and providing appropriate support.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time using effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.
    • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications; specifically using Word to create and modify documents, Excel to record data and calculate results, and Outlook to communicate internally and externally.
