    JOB SUMMARY:

    Packaging and beverage filling machine operators are responsible for running the beverage machines that prepare food/liquid products. In addition to filling containers, these machines typically seal them and weigh them and may prepare them in other ways as well. As a Bottle Filler, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that our high-quality products are accurately and consistently filled, sealed, and prepared for distribution. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential in maintaining our company's reputation for excellence.

    As an hourly rated job in which the individual is responsible to work on the production line that includes the monitoring and operating of automatic bottling line equipment and packaging machines to ensure continuous line production.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Ability to obtain Cannery License in eight (8) weeks or currently have Cannery License
    2. Assures that adequate supplies are in machine hopper or available at machine for operation
    3. Starts machine and carefully observes initial operation. If satisfactory, upgrades machine speed to full cycle.
    4. Removes blocks when machine shuts down because of malfunction, incorrect materials, etc.
    5. Records production. Disposes of spoilage in designated manner.
    6. Apply labels and transfer products to the final shipping area, keeping them organized to aid in shipping crew's job
    7. Perceive the production line ahead of you to anticipate errors and make adjustments as needed to prevent slowing down more than necessary
    8. Perform simple hourly maintenance on your machine to ensure it is completely functional and safe to operate
    9. Complete paperwork and other minor administrative tasks at the beginning and end of your shift, carefully ensuring all information is entered correctly and clearly
    10. Support other machine operators to ensure no workers become fatigued or distracted during daily operation
    11. Report malfunctions or errors to supervising staff immediately and relay important information about the issue
    12. Turn Machine on and off and consistently watches machinery
    13. Follow sanitary procedures for working on valves or vent tubes.
    14. Follow SOP on glass breakage.
    15. Follow SOP on oiling the capper heads.
    16. Follow all check sheets pertaining to operating the filler.
    17. Ability to replace valves.
    18. Knowledge on cause and effect on fixing high and low fills.
    19. Ability to handle start up for tea.
    20. Must be able to Brix out.
    21. Participate and change the filler over.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. May perform rework of damaged product when line is down.
    2. May sweep work area and clean machinery as needed.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. At least one year manufacturing machine operator experience in-company or elsewhere.
    2. Six months of bottling/can manufacturing experience.
    3. Good communication skills.
    4. Must be able to understand basic computer program commands.
    5. Must be able to stand and bend for at least 7-8 hours
    6. Previous, food manufacturing, or bottling experience preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Physical fitness to perform checks and tests as well as lifting up to 50 lbs.
    2. Ability to stand for long periods of time
    3. Ability to work in confined areas.
    4. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
    5. Must be able to work around loud noise with PPE
    6. Must be able to wear all PPE including hair and facial hair cover
