    Boulder Valley Center for Dermatology is seeking a Licensed Aesthetician to join their team in Lafayette, CO! The aesthetician is responsible for providing high-end skin and aesthetic consultation and services. This person must have a good work ethic, and be polished and professional in both demeanor and dress. He/she will be reliable and outgoing, an enthusiastic, detail oriented problem solver with exceptional customer service skills. The office is fully computerized and uses an electronic health record system.

    This position is part-time. It requires travel to satellite offices and a varying schedule, including some Saturday hours.

    NUMBER OF OPENINGS

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Aesthetic consultation on both skin care products and aesthetic treatments
    • Customized facials and treatments
    • Acne surgery treatments, milia and skin tag removal
    • Coolsculpting® consultations and treatments
    • Perform laser treatments including Dual Fraxel®, Vbeam® Perfecta, and photo dynamic therapy
    • Coordinate and assist with cosmetic education/marketing events
    • Administrative duties including answering the phone, phone consults, scheduling appointments, work flow, taking payments, managing aesthetic product inventory
    • Other duties as assigned.

    COMPETENCIES

    • Proficient knowledge of high quality medical aesthetic services.
    • Proficient in sales aspect of aesthetics.
    • Proficient knowledge of mainstream computer technology and software.
    • Ability to document all aspects of the client encounter in an electronic medical record system. 
    • Ability to learn quickly and exhibit good judgment.
    • Ability to work independently, while maintaining a friendly demeanor towards patients and clients. 
    • Ability to be comfortable working closely with the dermatologist in determining best options for the client.  
    • Ability to be motivated, compassionate, responsive, adaptive and eager to learn.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills necessary to ensure each client interaction is carried out in a professional and concise manner. 
    • Superior technical skills and a natural ability to connect with clients.
    • Possess appreciation for high quality aesthetic services provided in our dermatology practice and must be comfortable with administering services.

     

    Note: Tattoos are allowed, but not on the face, throat or hands. Other visible tattoos must be covered.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment. Work is performed in an interior medical/clinical environment. Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require OSHA training.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

    Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a part-time position. Shifts will vary and position requires employee to be available Monday-Friday from 7:45A-6:00P, and up to two Saturday per month until 2:00P.

    TRAVEL

    This position requires travel to satellite offices so Medical Assistants must have an unexpired driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be a currently Licensed Aesthetician. 
    • Previous Dermatology office, medical spa, Coolsculpting and laser experience is preferred.

     

    ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Satisfactory passing of a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check

    COMPENSATION 

    $16.00 - $22.00 per Hour, depending on experience.
