    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Nutritional Aide is responsible for a variety of duties and services to ensure appetizing food is prepared and served according to policies and procedures of the Nutritional Services Department by maintaining all regulated dietary standards and infection prevention.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Idaho Food Handlers Certification required (can be obtained upon hire)

    One (1) year previous Food Service experience preferred, but not required

    High school diploma or GED required

    Computer skills to complete required online training

    SCHEDULE:

    Part time position: 50-51 hours per pay period.

    Shifts are 6:30 am - 3:30 pm/ Fri shift is 5:30 am - 1:30 pm

    Schedule is two week rotating; subject to change based on department needs:

    Week 1: Sun, Mon, Wed, Sat

    Week 2: Sun, Fri, Sat

    Additional shifts may be required for coverage.

    Weekend differentials.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Serve meals that are appetizing in appearance and timely according to meal schedule.

    Set dining room for meals, buss dining room tables, wash and store dishes.

    Set up, serve and take down our Employee Lunch Cafeteria Meals (M-F).

    Set up evening snack cart for the Extended Care Facility.

    Assist in set up for special meals or other special functions, etc.

    Restock areas throughout hospital with snacks and supplies, as well as areas within the Kitchen.

    Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.

    Assure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.

    Complete cleaning per department guidelines.

    Store freight 1-2 times a week.

    Responsible for washing and storing dishes, pots and pans.

    Works accurately and with enough speed to complete the required tasks within the allotted time.

    Responsible for practicing proper food handling, according to HACCP standards and within the guidelines set by the Idaho Diet Manual and Food Code.

    Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as situations require maintaining Infection Control standards set by the Hospital.

    Must submit to COVID testing as required by CMS.
