    SIGN ON BONUS

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the operation of X-ray, CT Scan, C-Arm, and Bone Density equipment by taking correct and accurate images of designated portions of the body.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Certified by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists, Active Status. CE Compliant

    Minimum 5 yrs experience working all modalities of Diagnostic imaging to include: CT-Scan and X-ray.

    CPR certification.

    Must have a good working knowledge of anatomy, radiation biology, radiation protections, physics and methods of exposures to obtain clearly defined films and operate equipment.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, keyboard at 30 wpm

    Must live within 20 minutes of Hospital for emergency and on-call.

    SCHEDULE:

    Full Time Position: 32 - 40 hours per week.

    On call as needed.

    Must live within 20 minutes of hospital for call.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:

    Takes x-rays /CT scan of various parts of the body to assist medical officers in detection of foreign bodies and diagnosis of diseases and injury.

    Transports patients as necessary to the radiology department and preparing them for exams.

    Determines the most suitable anatomical position to image the body and positions patient.

    Evaluates images for technical quality and calculates exposure factors.

    Makes standard precaution decisions and use isolation techniques, when required.

    Adjust immobilization devices to prevent voluntary movements of patient.

    Uses equipment to minimize hazards of shocks, burns and extraneous radiation to patients and personnel.

    Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as situations require maintaining Infection Control standards set by the Hospital.
