    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for the hospital’s marketing and community relations serving as liaison between Boundary Community Hospital (BCH) and the community. The Coordinator is also responsible for providing administrative support to the Fry Healthcare Foundation Board.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor Degree in related field required with 5 years experience hospital marketing or community relations experience preferred.

    Advanced computer skills to include: Microsoft word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, publishing software.

    HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, .Net, Search Engine Optimization experience a plus.

    Previous experience in public speaking, group facilitation and event planning required.

    Must have advanced proven written and verbal communication skills.

    Required knowledge and experience using of variety of marketing techniques, such as, print, flyers, online social media, website marketing.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Demonstrated experience in working with a non-profit Board of Directors and volunteers.

    Working knowledge of budget development, fiscal administration, financial reports, and foundation fiduciary responsibilities.

    Demonstrated working knowledge of development practices including annual campaigns, major gifts campaigns, endowments, investment policies, scholarship programs, donor recognition, and community relations.

    Effective leadership and ethics techniques, including Servant-Leadership.

    Excellent planning execution, facilitation, and training skills.

    Ability to think critically and creatively.

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills, in both oral and written forms.

    Ability to set and achieve fund raising goals, preparation and reporting of proposals and gifts.

    Ability to connect with potential donors in a way that meets their commitment to invest in the mission and vision of the Hospital.

    Demonstrated managerial and administrative skills.

    Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.

    SCHEDULE:

    40 hours per week. Must have ability to work flexible hours as required by Chief Executive Officer.

    Occasional early or late hours depending on events will be required.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:

    Supports the Mission, Vision and Values, of Boundary Community Hospital.

    Collaborate and consult with Chief Executive Officer in direction, planning and execution of any program, advertisement or marketing.

    Design, develop, and deliver programs focused on community outreach supporting the hospital Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic goals.

    Participate in Strategic Planning to define and plan community needs and bring information to the community.

    Serve as the liaison for information between community and hospital promoting BCH’s public image and services

    Design ads and logos, graphic layout of posters, landing pages, newsletters, signs, brochures, forms and other web and print material. PowerPoint and Social Media campaigns.

    Design, develop, and implement the marketing of the Hospital’s health promotion and prevention programs and services of interest to the community.

    Create plans and implement all community relations programs and events to promote the hospital.

    Develop, write, and maintain health articles and advertisements in different media (i.e., newspaper, radio, web page and/or television) as per Strategic Planning.

    Address healthcare workers and public in a pleasant, respectful manner. Displays courtesy at all times.

    Abide by Boundary Community Compliance Program.

    Establish and maintain a healthy interpersonal relationship with all staff members and the public. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding knowledge of all patient information concerning staff and hospital business.

    Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as situations require to maintain Infection Control standards set by the Hospital.

    FOUNDATION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide leadership and management skills to sustain the activities of Fry Healthcare Foundation volunteers, including the Fry Healthcare Foundation board.

    Expand the Foundation donor base, including individual donors, foundations, businesses and government sources.

    Recruit volunteers to serve on the Fry Healthcare Foundation board and to assist with specific Foundation special events, including the annual fundraising gala.

    Project manage the day-to-day work of the Foundation to serve as an Event Specialist to support the Foundation Boards Activities and events.

    Participate in strategy discussions with Foundation CEO and other Foundation Executive Team Members regarding program development and related funding prospects.

    Represent and speak on behalf of BCH Hospital and the Fry Healthcare Foundation at key community stakeholder events.

    Provides project support for events for Fry Healthcare Foundation.

    Promote public awareness and visibility of BCH and Foundation services among key community partners, allies and potential funders.
